Peace came and said hello

To my surprise, iit began to glow

26 acres in a holler not far

We can often get there by car.

Nature rules this enchanted land

Wildlife roams because it can

Panthers, bears and bats

Groundhogs, eagles and Bobcats

We make a garden but there's no guarantee

There will be any greens for me

Everything nibbles and bites and chews

And there's no one to easily sue

An evening on deck with lighted candles

Lights up our life with all we can handle

Dusk brings out the nightjars and bats

All the bugs will make them fat

It is a peace that settles our souls

And each night is different, never gets old.

Our migrant friends have all returned

And sing the songs that my heart burns (for).

The joy we find on that blessed land

feeds our peace that moves like sand

I gladly share what love is there

And love renews because we care.

Thank you, Turtles 🐢 🐢🐢
